We wish you a green Christmas

I LOVE the festive season, but by the time Boxing Day rolls round I’m in despair over all the packaging, plastic, polystyrene and cardboard – not to mention edible debris – and wondering what to do with it all.

This year we are, as a family, making a conscious effort to be more environmentally friendly and avoid plastic packaging and gifts. We are using brown paper tied with reusable ribbon instead of wrapping paper and sticky tape and, as usual, we will collect our turkey from a local farm to reduce food miles.
