TURMERIC & HONEY TONIC

PREP + COOK TIME 15 MINUTES SERVES 2 (MAKES 2 CUPS)

Place 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon raw honey, 2 teaspoons grated fresh turmeric, 1 cinnamon stick and 4 slices fresh ginger in a small saucepan over low-medium heat; bring almost to the boil. Remove from heat; set aside for 10 minutes to allow flavours to infuse. Strain through a fine sieve into heatproof glasses. Dust with a pinch of ground cinnamon to serve.

Tip

Fresh turmeric is available from greengrocers and asian food stores selling fresh produce.
