I live in Melbourne with my husband, James. While I love how close-knit Melbourne can be, I feel very grounded whenever I go back home to Darwin. It’s not only the change of pace but the whole mentality of the people there. It forces you to slow down and take stock of your life. It’s important for me to go back there – I find that it really benefits my mental health.
Recently we went to the Mornington Peninsula – my husband took me there because he knows I’m a saltwater girl. It was such a beautiful place and it’s really made me appreciate living in Victoria – it’s nice to know that I can get out of the city and enjoy these road trips.
