Whereas some other big events are essentially ARTF-Fests, Cosford tries to remain true to traditional build-it-yourself values. In many respects it is like a Large Scale Nats, but without the competition or the scale documentation. It is mostly about enjoying fine scale models sailing through the aether on a sunny day. True, Cosford is moving with the times, and has recently introduced other models, and other types of flying. However, for the most part, it is about celebrating the important work of men in sheds. Cosford is also a great place to see the sorts of models that might never appear down your club patch. I don&#39;t just mean the large show beasts, which I adore. I am also thinking of those seriously niche, but majestic, model aircraft such as civilian airliners. You can enjoy elegant Concordes, Constellations and VC-10s at Cosford, as well as the LMA&#39;s huge aweinspiring military jet bombers. If you love sheer spectacle in the sun, then Cosford&#39;s ability to put up dozens of scale aircraft at once is practically unique on the UK modelling calendar.
