Delta is losing US$60 million dollars a day. Within 60 days 40 large and mid-size airlines could face technical insolvency. Many of the 800 global airlines in the world will cease to exist should they have no income for the next 90 days. Leasing companies contracted to the major airlines could also face bankruptcy as the crisis drags on. The domino effect will result in a cataclysmic set of events that will change the face of aviation forever.
