BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT of Saint Laurent’s new creative director Anthony Vaccarello, there were many guesses on who would take over Hedi Slimane’s throne at the fashion house. Though there were many possible names, CEO of Kering Francois-Henri Pinault admitted that Vaccarello was the only candidate they had in mind from day one. (Saint Laurent is owned by Kering.)
