STYLE AND FASHION

Do you remember when you first became interested in fashion?

I think I have always been pretty interested in fashion. My mom, my grandma, and my sisters have been into it since the day I was born, so it’s not really surprising. There was a point in my life when all I cared about was my horses. I still love horses—in fact, I have two now—but generally, I’ve always loved fashion.

So many people look on you as a style icon, but is there someone—past or present— who is your style icon?

I really love Jane Birkin and Princess Diana. I just love how effortlessly cool they were, especially Princess Diana. She could just be chilling or walking around or out on a run or something, and still, look chic. Jane Birkin is the same. It looks like they just woke up in the morning and were really cool.

What is your favorite item in your wardrobe?

I have an archive closet, so there are a lot of things I love in there, outfits I have worn to special events or places. Also, I know it’s really simple and plain, but what every girl needs is that one pair of jeans that are just the best, and that fit in all the right places. So I think a good pair of jeans is probably my favorite.

What item would you never, ever wear?

I think I would probably never be caught dead in a wedge sneaker ever again. There was a point in time where I wore them, and I have no idea why!

What do you think you have in common with Longchamp?

Apart from the brand's association with horses, which obviously made us a really good fit, I love the world traveler dimension of the brand—the fact that its style is so cosmopolitan and globally versatile. I travel all the time, and that is a major thing for me.
