Rising Star: ANGEL CHEN
Chinese designer Angel Chen is one of the country’s rising stars of fashion. Born in Shenzen, the Central Saint Martins alumni cut her teeth at Marchesa, Vera Wang and Alexander Wang in New York. She launched her eponymous label soon after graduation and has since presented her collections at Milan, New York and Shanghai Fashion Week. Chen is known for her charismatic fusion of East and West. Coupled with bold colours, her unique designs have won her an international fan base and has drawn interest from celebrities such as Fan Bingbing, Kris Wu, Chris Lee, Charlie XCX and Bella Hadid. Her label is now stocked at 70 retailers including Selfridges, Lane Crawford and Luisa Via Roma, further cementing her spot amongst a new wave of bright Chinese talents. The designer also recently collaborated with Swedish high street giant H&M and is the first Chinese designer to do so.

Lovers of prints will be enamored with Cassey Gan’s graphic works of art. The Malaysian designer’s striking aesthetic places emphasis on bold experimentation and detail. Since graduating from London College of Fashion in 2012, the designer has been featured in Vogue Italia and has showcased her collection at London Fashion Week. With comfort and style at the heart of her brand ethos, she maintains an easy silhouette throughout her functional designs, the resulting pieces of which are timeless yet modern.
