In Business Insider this issue, h4ufme chats with Carienne Hew, Director of Oreton and certified Trichologist from the world-renowned International Association of Trichologist (IAT). Her 19 years of experience and knowledge in hair and scalp care has led her to be part of the Board of Directors in IAT, 2019. For many years, her expertise had lied only within hair and scalp centres. However, about five years ago, Carienne started venturing into hair salons, and she now shares with us the importance of trichology for salon businesses today.
I started this academy because of my passion for the hair and scalp industry. I also hope to help raise the professional standards of the industry. That way, customers would be attracted by knowledge and skills rather than sales techniques. With the opportunity given by IAT, through all the resources for us to start the academy, we aim to educate people and ensure everyone is up to a certain professional standard.

Scalp care and hair care are just like skincare. Hairdressing and cosmetics both make you look more beautiful. However, if you do not have good hair and scalp condition, you will not be able to have long-lasting cosmetic effects.
