So You're Going To Camp. Now What?
Girls' Life magazine|June/July 2017

Packing is the easy part. They give you a checklist for that. But what about all the pesky little things you’ll face once you *get* to summer camp? And, no, we’re not talking about mosquitoes...

So You're Going To Camp. Now What?

So you’re going to overnight camp. Great! Stoked, right? But—and this is so normal, Nature Girl—you also have worries. Read on for our advice on how to nix those anxious thoughts and make your far-from-home adventure totally awesome.

“EEK! I HAVE NO FRIENDS HERE.”

Camp is pretty much guaranteed to foster deep (and lasting) friendships. Why? Because all of you are in the same canoe. For the most part, your fellow campers also are flying solo. Therefore, just about everybody is looking to buddy up. And whether you’re at theater camp or basketball camp or coding camp or whatever, they’re there, too! See the beauty of it? You instantly have common interests. Even if you’re at a general activities camp, you’ll be registering for workshops. That means you’re bound to meet girls who also are into ceramics or organic gardening or <insert your passion here>. So no more worrying about whether or not you’ll make friends, deal?
