Hairstylists were once mythical creatures like unicorns with rainbow pony tails, Loui Ferry is one of those rare Generation K talent with the abilities and drive attributed to Generation X.

Loui Ferry

SB - From your humble start at a hair salon in Slovenia to Paris, London, Milan, NY, and now LA, how does it feel to become a traveling hairstylist working with A-list celebrities and high end brands?

LF - I can only explain my feelings in this way: imagine that you have the biggest dreams of your life, and they come true. That is how I feel right now. Amazing. Freedom. Self independent. Motivated...

SB - So your real name is Vili Koderman. So how did you become Loui Ferry?

LF - Yes, my real name is Vili Koderman. Because my dreams were always to work outside of Slovenia, me and my friend Aiden Royce from Slovenia, figured out that one day when I gonna be successful, I will need a different name. So we started choosing different letters and names, and that is how we found the name Loui Ferry.

SB - If hairdressing unleashes your creativity, does it always naturally come to you?

LF - Yes. When I start doing hair, I have a vision, one which is strong and always ends up as something new and great. You just need to trust yourself and be spontaneous.

SB - What are your best inspirations? Any favorite diva?

LF - Mother Nature always. I don’t watch other hairstylists to find inspiration for hair. My diva is Bridget Bardot.

SB - How do you describe your personal style?

LF - My personal style could be described as simple: t-shirt, leggings, shorts and cool shoes. On top of that, a smile on my face is always present.
