Como lo dice su nombre, esta es activada por sentimientos, solamente que no son sexuales. Matías*, de 30 años, dice que tuvo una cuando el tema de caminar al altar surgió conversando con su nueva novia. “No es como que estuviéramos hablando muy en serio, pero me dio una erección solo de pensar en el matrimonio”, recuerda Matt. “Lo que fue más confuso es que ocurrió numerosas veces”.
En el otro lado del espectro, una erección emocional puede aparecer cuando un chico se da cuenta de que su otra mitad está enojada. Carlos, de 25 años, tuvo una cuando su chica se encontraba particularmente molesta mientras hablaba de sus problemas en la oficina. Y Tom, de 27 años, experimentó su primera erección cuando su novia de la preparatoria terminó con él y al poco tiempo ella le dijo que se retractaba. “Me sentí triste, aunque también feliz porque no deseaba que termináramos”, dice Tom. “También estaba muy incómodo porque no quería que pareciera como si quisiera tener sexo después de tener el corazón casi roto”.
