With only a quarter of a womb, Hayley’s baby dream came true.
Cradling her baby girl, Haley Myles looks no different to any smitten new mum. But the bond between her and six-month-old Ava is more special than most, because it’s a miracle her baby daughter is here at all.
Haley’s dreams of becoming a mum were shattered last year after she had a hysterectomy to treat severe endometriosis.
The operation left her with a quarter of her womb, a segment of one ovary and one fallopian tube – but miraculously, Haley fell pregnant naturally.
“It broke my heart to think I might never be a mum,” Haley says. “When the doctors told me I was pregnant, I refused to believe them.”
Now, Haley and her partner Ryan McShane, 26, can’t imagine life without little Ava.
