Nurse Susan Annis’ dream was to set up a children’s A&E area in the hospital where she worked, so in 1996 she enrolled in a new course to help her do so.
One night Susan, who was 31 at the time, went for a pizza with colleagues, then she and a fellow coursemate, nurse Kevin Cobb, decided to have another drink back at their quarters.
As she drank cider, however, Susan collapsed and died.
