Award-winning BBC1 drama Doctor Foster captured the nation’s imagination as it explored the devastating fallout from an affair.
Now, its acclaimed writer Mike Bartlett is turning his attentions to the workplace as he looks at the impact of office bullying in his powerful new ITV drama Sticks and Stones.
The three-part series centers on high-achieving family man Thomas Benson (Killing Eve’s Ken Nwosu), who works in a Reading business park for a company supplying services to offices.
But when Thomas messes up a pitch to an important potential customer, his life starts to spiral out of control.
Along with trying to win back the client and appease his boss Chris (Death in Paradise star Ben Miller), Thomas has to deal with the reaction from his disappointed team – Isobel (This Time with Alan Partridge’s Susannah Fielding), Andy (Top Boy’s Sean Sagar) and Becky (Humans star Ritu Arya).
What begins as teasing from his colleagues intensifies when Thomas starts to feel that they are out to get him. Is he being bullied or has he just lost his nerve?
TV Times caught up with Ken during filming to find out more…
