Tidy Comfort & Joy!

Oh, what’s occurring?! Only the return of beloved BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey for a hugely anticipated Christmas special!

Nine years after series three ended, creators and writers Ruth Jones and James Corden, who also play friends Nessa and Smithy, have reunited the whole gang for an hour-long episode.

The plot follows Gav’s Billericay-based family, the Shipmans, as they leave Essex and head to Barry Island in Wales to celebrate Christmas with Stacey’s clan, the Wests.

And, as we rejoin them, it seems as if Gavin (played by Mathew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page) are struggling with the challenges of parenthood.

Nessa, meanwhile, has her own, er, unique parenting style and Smithy can’t wait to spend Christmas with their son, Neil the Baby, who is now 12.

Elsewhere, Gavin’s mum Pam (Alison Steadman) moans to his dad Mick (Larry Lamb) about having to spend Christmas in Wales, while Uncle Bryn (Rob Brydon) is bracing himself for having to cook Christmas dinner for over 13 people!
