The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on all our favourite shows, but we simply couldn’t imagine the autumn TV schedules without I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! And happily, we don’t have to!

With travel restrictions preventing the celebrities from flying to the jungle in Australia, the 20th series will take place at the historic - and possibly haunted (!) – Gwrych Castle in North Wales where Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will host the goings-on live each night.

As always, speculation is rife about which famous faces will be taking part, and those rumored include Corrie’s Beverley Callard and runner Sir Mo Farah. This year they will be competing to be crowned King or Queen of the Castle.

The UK location means the contestants will have to contend with the cold rather than the heat of the Australian bush, but the show will still feature all its notorious trials which, we’re assured, will be as tough as ever!

Here Ant, who turns 45 on 19 November, and Dec, 45, tell us more...

How do you feel about this year’s series being in the UK?

DEC: We talked about what we would do if we couldn’t make it to Australia, and discussed doing it in the UK in a castle. Then we got really excited about the prospect of it, and now it’s here we can’t wait to get up there and get started.

ANT: It will be something special for our 20th series.

Will the biggest challenge for the celebrities still be the trials and living with strangers?
