Our Bundles Of Joy...

Life with a newborn baby is never easy – and Weatherfield’s Chesney and Gemma have four of them! Following their dramatic births in Wales back in October, Aled, Bryn, Carys, and Llio are now settled in at No.5 and putting their parents through the wringer.

In real life, five babies are playing the famous quads – triplets Lucy, Lily and Arthur, and twins James and Charlotte. In an exclusive shoot for TV Times, we caught up with stars Sam Aston and Dolly-Rose Campbell to talk about ‘Chemma’, their relationship, and their bundles of joy…

How are Gemma and Chesney coping with their quads?

Sam: They’re managing as well as anyone can with four newborns. They’re trying to get systems in place and have rotas up for who is feeding and who is changing nappies, but a lot of it goes to pot.

Dolly: It’s a big life change for both of them, and they’ve got Chesney’s son Joseph as well, so the house is very full. They’re just living moment to moment, and they’re not getting much sleep. If one baby cries, the others start crying as well.

How is parenthood affecting their relationship?

Sam: This has probably brought them closer together because no one else can relate to what they’re going through. They were always hot and cold before, whereas now they feel like more of a unit.

Dolly: They’re working well. Chesney is very calm, whereas Gemma has a tendency to panic, so he helps keep her together.

The quads have their first photoshoot this week for supermarket Freshco. How does that go?
