URBAN MYTHS

LAST ONE WED / SKY ARTS / 10PM / EP 4 of 4 / COMEDY

Robbie Coltrane is delighted to be playing Hollywood legend Orson Welles in Sky Arts’ quirky comedy anthology Urban Myths.

‘Quite simply, Orson was my hero,’ says the BAFTA-winning actor, much-loved for his portrayal of half-giant Hagrid in the Harry Potter film franchise. ‘We have certain similarities and I’ve always been able to do his voice as a party trick!’

Orson Welles in Norwich, the final episode in the current fourth series of Urban Myths, is an odd tale set in 1972 when American actor and film-maker Orson is thought to have run out of finance for his docudrama F for Fake. Rumour has it he agreed to earn money by working at a small-time regional TV station in Norfolk.

‘Then he got kidnapped! Or did he..?’ teases Cracker star Robbie, 70, who, here, tells us more…

‘Sounds like we’re in for another far-fetched tale!
