ABSOLUTELY INDIA: MANCS IN MUMBAI

NEW WEDNESDAY / ITV / 8PM / EP 1 of 6 / FACTUAL

Showbiz siblings Ryan, Adam and Scott Thomas are incredibly close. And in their new spirited six-part adventure, they’re set to become even closer, as they explore their Indian heritage with their dad, Dougie James.

Dougie’s father, Nolan Thomas, came to Manchester from Mumbai (then called Bombay) in 1947. Now Dougie, 72, a former music promoter and soul singer, is taking his sons to Nolan’s birth city.

When filmed in autumn last year, the brothers planned to have some fun and, hopefully, meet long-lost relatives. But there’s more to this jolly holiday. It’s also an overdue airing for some family skeletons. Namely, why did Dougie not see his young sons for five years after splitting from their mum, Gail?

TV Times met with the brothers at ITV’s east London offices earlier this year to find out more…
