Departure time is drawing near for Andrew Scarborough. Soon, his Emmerdale character will be no more, as Graham Foster is killed in the soap’s latest whodunnit plot.
‘I’m going to miss Graham a lot,’ says Andrew, 46, ‘but I love that I’m leaving while people still don’t know much about him. In fact, we know diddly-squat!’
It was in September 2017 when we met Graham for the first time. Introduced as the right-hand man of businessman Joe Tate, it wasn’t long before viewers realised who was really wearing the trousers.
‘I was told Joe and Graham would be like Batman and Alfred,’ reveals Andrew. ‘But then I thought, “Wouldn’t it be fun if Alfred was more Batman than Batman was?” I wanted to keep people guessing about who was in charge.’
