Is this the beginning of Geoff Metcalfe’s downfall? Following Corrie boss Iain MacLeod’s promise that viewers are going to find out more about the magician-come-DJ’s dark past, this week a woman turns up at the prison to see Yasmeen, and tells the stunned pensioner that she was abused by Geoff, too.
The woman pitches up ahead of Yasmeen’s trial for attempted murder, and shortly after Geoff has used his hospital radio show to try to paint himself as the model of compassion. Making reference to his recent stabbing at the hands of his wife, he tells the world – or, rather, Weatherfield General – that he has forgiven Yasmeen and wants to help her.
