Thanks to the 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen’s ongoing popularity, stories about the band’s flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury have rarely been out of the press recently. But one thing that hasn’t been fully explored is the extent of his love for all things Christmas.
Despite being born in Zanzibar and growing up in the Zoroastrian faith, he embraced everything to do with the festive season after moving to the UK in 1964, as the uplifting new Channel 5 documentary Freddie Mercury: A Christmas Story reveals.
