We Have Less Police Manpower But It Is Full Of Quality

Could you share your childhood days and formal education with our readers?

I belong to rural village named Indapur from Pune District. We are middle class family and my family members helped me a lot to complete my education. I have done a lot of struggle to reach this position. I got selected in 2009 as DYSP and now in 2016, I am Additional SP of Thane Rural.

You always wanted to join Police Force?

It was my father’s wish that I should become Police Sub Inspector. But in the exam I missed the post by mere one mark. So later I decide to achieve the higher post than Police Sub-Inspector. So the people who passed Police Sub Inspector exam are now working under me. So I want to tell that you should always do hard work and be persistent in your efforts despite facing the failure.

Will you be able to maintain your anti-trafficking, brothel, gambling and anti-social element image in Thane rural too?

Our basic motto is to eradicate such illegal activities. Fortunately we got the powerful leader like Mahesh Patil sir. Under his direction in last four months we have raided more than 30 times in bars, gambling, brothels and many other illegal activities. We are trying to control every such activity.

What are your plans for Thane Rural as Additional SP?

As an Additional SP I work as mediator and resource person between SP sir and local staff. I am in charge of crime so basically, I work for controlling the crime and I also provide the guideline regarding crime and laws to public. Also I try to prevent the illegal activities and corruption.

What challenges are you facing as Additional SP of Thane Rural?
