The Journey Continues...

Analog Room and its two founding resident DJs – Mehdi Ansari (aka Shemroon) and Siamak Amidi – have been providing Dubai with a quality fix of underground music and club culture for four years and counting. In a city that often prizes the bold and the brash over genuinely mind-expanding experiences, Analog Room has been doing more than most to keep it real and raw. The much loved club night is now about to kick off in a new venue and has a few surprises up its sleeve for 2017…

For those new to the scene here in Dubai, what is Analog Room and what does it stand for?

Mehdi: Analog Room project is a party. We’re a team of electronic music enthusiasts whose goal is to improve the musical knowledge of the scene by constantly presenting quality (art) music from around the globe and educating people in club culture by providing a very real and unique clubbing experience through our events.

What’s the back-story to Analog Room?

Mehdi: We all studied audio engineering and music is our main hobby. We enjoyed talking about, making and playing music when we were together and clubbing was the main weekend plan. But somehow it was not fully satisfying. As we all started partying in Iran at very underground private parties, music has always been the main focus for us. There were no other elements except music.

We needed the pure experience of raving and in Dubai there was a group of people who were seeking the same thing. So we started Analog Room in 2012 on a weekly basis, bringing the hottest acts of electronic music to the UAE. With the knowledge that we had gained through previous years of partying in Iran and Europe, we managed to deliver and satisfy like-minded people. That’s how it all began.
