The ongoing pandemic has shed light on not only the physical consequences of the virus, but also the toll it has taken on citizens’ mental wellbeing. Nikita Gupta, a 21-year-old psychology graduate from Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi, launched a helpline mid-March to tackle the emotional upheaval that people might face amidst the crisis. “Whether we admit it or not, we could do with some support at this point. Unfortunately, not many who seek help know the way forward. With the helpline, I wanted to make that easier,” she tells us.
