‘I have been to Britain many times before and travelled all over the country,” says Diana. “When I was asked about appearing at Glastonbury for this very special year I almost squealed with excitement because I knew it was going to be great and it is in Somerset, which is one of the most beautiful places in such a lovely country.
“It was such a disappointment for everyone when everything had to be canceled, but then I started thinking about 2021 and realized that nothing is forever and we can tour next year anyway. If I am asked again to do Glastonbury I'm not likely to refuse if it is at all possible but we shall have to see what happens. I certainly hope that one way or another Somerset will be on the schedule for next year.
“The important thing is that people are safe – entertainment can come later it is health and people that matter most of all.”
Miss Ross – as she is often introduced – might seem to have retired but in fact, she has been busier than ever but just not touring – now she is back on the road and hoping to be heading our way as soon as possible.
“I will never retire,” she says, surprised at being asked. “Why would I stop doing what I really love for no good reason? Sometimes you hear through the media that someone has retired or is not working anymore and they just have not taken the trouble to find out that the person they are talking about has been filling a huge venue in Las Vegas every night for the past three years.
