<p><strong>W</strong>hen I look at this pho-to it brings back such great memories. It was taken on a chilly fall evening at Maligne Lake here in Jasper. After work one day, I decided to text my friend Brad to see if he wanted to go for a drive down the Maligne Valley to see if we&rsquo;d be lucky enough to encounter some moose. On the way to Maligne Lake, we saw seven moose in total, all were cows with their calves either standing right in the middle of the road licking the pavement, or beside the ditch in the bushes grazing. How did we get so lucky? This trip was already a success. Once we arrived at Maligne Lake, we took a little walk along the trail to take some photos of the beautiful lake with the snowcapped mountain range surrounding it. About to head back to the parking area, we spotted this incredible bull thrashing his antlers against some branches. I looked at Brad with a smile stretching from ear to ear. &ldquo;A bull! I might actually cry. This is the best day of my life. Look at his antlers&mdash;they&rsquo;re huge!&rdquo; I exclaimed. I guess I utter the phrase &ldquo;This is the best day of my life&rdquo; quite a bit living here in the Rockies, but it feels honest every time. We got to listen to the bull call for cows in the peak of mating season, while snow fell from the trees and collected in the palms of his antlers as he crashed through the bush. It was an indescribable feeling to see this bull moose in its natural habitat. I still can&rsquo;t believe that this is the natural beauty I get to experience living in the Canadian Rockies. I am very lucky to be surrounded by such incredible nature and wildlife.</p>
