There is no question that good education is everyone’s birthright. An all-round education creates all-rounded people who contribute to society in a better way. Yet these days, all you see is education becoming more of a commodity, which actually has been letting down both students and parents, and society in turn. Satisfactory education is something that is now hard to find unless you can pay the steep price for it. With parents looking for varied options to make quality education within reach for their children, an interesting wave has started, catching the fancy of interested parents – homeschooling and unschooling.

Quite a few parents are now providing homeschooling or unschooling facilities to their children, so that their educational future is not under any threat. Of course, it has its own share of good points and minor troubles. But it has allowed them to control what their children can truly learn. And they are not afraid to spread the word of these rediscovered methods of teaching.

UNDERSTANDING CONCEPTS

A school is a place where a child should feel not only secure, but also free to explore, read, understand and learn at his own free will. But this is sadly missing from our dismal education system today. Today, it is all about getting better grades and competition. Real learning has been relegated to the backseat.
