Are Hidden Sugars Harming Your Health?

Reducing your sugar intake isn’t as hard as you think once you discover how much you’re really eating every day.

Are Hidden Sugars Harming Your Health?
If you think you’re making healthy food choices but you’re still dealing with bloating, gas, poor mood, low energy, increased appetite and the inability to lose weight, then too much sugar could be the reason.

“Sneaky sugars are public enemy number one,” according to health expert and authorJJ Virgin, in her new book Sugar Impact Diet (Headline Home). “Even the most health-conscious among us struggle to know everywhere they hide or how to avoid them. It can feel incredibly daunting.”

Over consumption can cause kidney and liver damage, dental decay and obesity, as well as other health issues. This is why Public Health England recommends that sugar should not account for more than 5% of our daily calories (around 7tsp of sugar a day). Scarily, we’re actually eating double that.
