Extensions are like ‘mini apps’ that you can open up right from the toolbar in Safari. They offer a shortcut to some of the most useful features of third-party apps, without you needing to leave the browser. The extensions you choose can then be easily accessed from the relevant website – so there’s no more jumping between apps.
While ad blockers dominate the list, there are plenty of other Safari extensions. Save web pages with Pocket, check your grammar with Grammarly, view passwords with 1Password, find out how trustworthy a website is with NewsGuard and more. And once you’re done, you just click to close the extension and resume browsing. It’s that easy!
