They say inspiration can hit at the most unexpected moments, and that’s certainly been the case for Krumbled Foods founder Keira Rumble. A former professional skier, she was forced to give up her Olympic dreams following a serious injury in her teens.

Turning to food for comfort, Keira gained 25kg. It wasn’t until her doctor diagnosed her as pre-diabetic that she decided to take control of her health and wellbeing. It was that journey that inspired her to launch Krumbled Foods last year, with her signature collagen-infused Beauty Bites now flying off the shelves at Priceline pharmacies and Coles supermarkets around the country.

Here, Rumble, 29, shares how her positive philosophy on life has fuelled a burgeoning wellness empire …

Tell us more about how you became so passionate about health and wellness ...

In my early 20s, I was diagnosed as insulin resistant and pre-diabetic. I decided to start studying nutrition and the important role it plays when it comes to mental health. It wasn’t until after I finished studying that I realised there weren’t really many health-food brands creating truly healthy and functional foods, so I decided I needed to do something about it.
