Miley Cyrus has swapped one Aussie heartthrob for another. In the past week, the controversial singer has been flaunting her new fling with Gold Coast-born singer Cody Simpson, 22, on social media.
The romance comes two months after announcing her split from husband, Liam Hemsworth, and about two weeks after calling off her post-breakup romance with Kaitlynn Carter.
On October 3, Cyrus, 26, was caught on camera by TMZ kissing Simpson at a grocery store in Los Angeles, sending fans into a frenzy over the former Hannah Montana star’s new flame. Cyrus was quick to comment on her new love interest, taking to social media to address the footage and make their romance Instagram official.
Cyrus posted part of the TMZ footage with a note saying: “Can a girl not get an f--king acai bowl and morning make-out session in peace?!” She also posted a shirtless photo of Simpson, writing: “22 [tick emoji] Australian (my type) [tick emoji] Abs [tick emoji] Hot Girl Fall [tick emoji].”
The video sent media into a frenzy, with Cyrus’ new fling coming just weeks after she reportedly ended things on good terms with Carter.
“There was no cheating or fighting involved in Miley’s decision to break things off after a two-month whirlwind romance,” a source told TMZ.
