Businessman Ngcolosi (Tony Kgoroge) must be turning in his grave – his wife MaZulu (Leleti Khumalo) has been a widow for just over a month and she’s engaged already. And not to someone in the Bhengu family, as Zulu tradition dictates. “It’s to psychologist Menzi (Muzi Mthabela),” says Leleti. “During her grieving period when her husband was murdered in July, MaZulu was shipped off to get psychological help. However, their sessions went beyond the point of personal and she found a new partner in life. And even if it’s so soon after the death of Nicolosi, she said yes when Menzi proposes this fortnight.” Understandably, the Bhengus are furious when they discover that MaZulu has broken tradition – none more so than her brother-in-law Phakade (Sandile Dlamini), who is also the father of her children.
