It takes a brave man to face the world of the paranormal and unexplained head-on. And Cliff Simon is that guy! The SA-born actor is the host of sci-fi doccie series Uncharted Mysteries – Thursdays on History Channel (*186) at 20:15. “It’s the right time to do this type of show,” says the 57-year-old, who was Mr SA in 1992 and he has lived in Los Angeles since 2000. “I have always wanted to do a survivalist show and be out in the wild exploring, and Uncharted Mysteries is that show!”

The six-episode doccie is taking Cliff across the US, from New Jersey in the east, to Louisiana in the south, to the Mojave Desert in the west… and across the ocean to tropical Hawaii. “I’m having a blast,” says the host, adding that it’s the trip of a lifetime. “They call and say, ‘You’re going here,’ so I go. I’ve had so much fun exploring and also finding answers to these mysteries.”

How was the show put together?
