I Attorney Mzi Ndlovu (Jesse Suntele) abandoned his musician girlfriend Reneilwe Khuse (Amo Chidi) at the start of the month after she revealed that she’s pregnant. So she is going to have an abortion without telling Mzi and dump him straight after since she hasn’t heard from him in over a week. That’s the plan until Mzi “barges into Renei’s apartment and begs her for a second chance,” reveals Amo.
Mzi tells her that he was wrong for leaving and he’s serious about starting a family. And to prove his commitment, he gets down on one knee to propose. “It’s bittersweet. She has dreamt of marrying Mzi. But at the back of her mind, she is terrified that he is going to go back on his word and he'll leave her again,” explains Amo. There is no turning back though — Mzi has arranged with his family to meet with Renei’s family for lobola negotiations.
