The fifth season of action series Chicago Fire (2012-now) is packed to the rafters with fire drama and it’s going to come crashing down on the firehouse crews – and not always in a physical way, says executive producer Derek Haas. “We’ve got these first responders and they are going about these dangerous jobs, and yet the most danger they are in is in their personal lives. That is the focus of season 5: intense introspection and inner struggle. The changes they are going through are going to impact through this entire season.” Like Lieutenant Severide (Taylor Kinney) who questions his place in life; paramedic Dawson (Monica Raymund) who becomes a mom overnight; and gruff guy Mouch (Christian Stolte) who shows a far “softer” side as an author.
