When you climb into bed with the devil, you are bound to get burnt. The Bhengu and the Rampersad families learn that the hard way as the Maphumulos take aim. “The Maphumulo family have a deal with the Bhengus and Rampersads to use trucks from their company Maluju Oil to move illegal firearms around the country. When the two legitimate oil business families want to back out of the agreement, the Maphumulos get violent,” explains Sifiso Mchunu, eldest Maphumulo son Lungani. Pranav Rampersad (Koobeshen Naidoo) and Ngcolosi Bhengu (Tony Kgoroge) are about to get into a fight to live.

DEADLY DEALINGS

Lungani wears a mask – not because of Corona-virus. He’s pleasant to talk with and jovial, but the minute you stand up to him and refuse him, he turns. “He is easily angered and demands respect,” says Sifiso. “He has a ‘don’t mess with me’ presence. He is feared by his peers and business partners and they know not to cross the line with him.”
