DAYS: A BLACKOUT ROCKS SALEM
After a blackout hits Salem, Statesville Prison residents Clyde and Orpheus make a run for it. The story is a new one from Head Writer Ron Carlivati and Co., to get the soap back on schedule.

“When the Olympics didn’t happen, all of our shows got pulled up by 10 days, which was fine until you get into the fall and it’s the holidays. and what we realized is that everything would be thrown off,” explains Carlivati. “Halloween would be in the middle of October, our anniversary show, November 8, would be earlier, Thanksgiving would be 10 days earlier, our Christmas shows would be airing in the beginning of December. While I get that the audience would understand and accept it, I feel like the fans like to experience the holidays along with the characters. So, Marlena’s decorating her tree, you’re doing the same thing at home, so you feel connected. Watching someone trim the tree on December 5 is not as enjoyable.”
