Nicole's Even Bigger Little Lies
People Magazine South Africa|June 21, 2019

AFTER more than 50 movies and 30 years in Hollywood, not much fazes Nicole Kidman – except, it turns out, Meryl Streep.

Nicole's Even Bigger Little Lies

WITH 21 nominations and three wins, Meryl Streep is even more of an Oscar golden girl than Nicole, but that’s not why the Australian superstar is still getting used to her latest and possibly greatest co-star.

As executive producer as well as one of the stars of hit show Big Little Lies, Nicole is pinching herself at how 69-year-old Meryl was enticed from the big screen to the small at all. The truth is that Big Little Lies is just the kind of project likely to attract stars the calibre of Meryl, just as it did Nicole and her producing partner and co-star Reese Witherspoon for the first hit season.

With the help of new recruit Meryl, Nicole’s insistence that work needs to be fun to warrant her leaving her treasured family life for any amount of time was met once again for the second season of a show that was only ever supposed to be a one-off mini-series. But global success and an insatiable fanbase has brought Nicole back along with Reese, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz. Meryl joins the now ongoing tale – for this season at least – of three emotionally troubled women in Monterey, California, as the mother of Alexander Skarsgård’s character. The rest is pretty much top secret. Here Nicole talks starring in and putting together season two of Big Little Lies, working with Meryl, fan expectation and why we should all take our kids to work, superstar colleagues or not.

So what can we expect from the second season of Big Little Lies?
