The actress dishes on saying goodbye to Game Of Thrones — and taking on her biggest role yet, in Dark Phoenix

For nearly a decade, Sophie Turner has earned praise for her portrayal of Lady of Winterfall Sansa Stark on HBO’s hit drama Game of Thrones. But with the fantasy series coming to an end, the British actress is turning the page — and getting ready to take on her first major leading role, as Jean Grey in the Marvel flick Dark Phoenix. “I’m just really honored because I know so many fans feel so passionately about the character and the saga,” says Sophie, 23, admitting that she put her heart and soul into the role, and it paid off. “I think we did a lot of justice to the character and to the story that so many people love. I just hope everyone else likes it!” As she gears up for the film’s highly anticipated June 7 release — and her upcoming nuptials to singer Joe Jonas — Sophie chats about her life on and off screen.
