She may only be 17, but Coronation Street’s Tanisha Gorey is wise beyond her years. The actress has grown up on the soap after joining the cast as Dev Alahan’s daughter Asha when she was just six years old. And now she’s a full-time resident on the Cobbles after leaving college to focus on her acting.

Tanisha’s most recent storyline has seen Asha deal with the fall-out after a video of her stripping for her boyfriend Corey went viral.

“I felt really proud to be the one chosen to do this storyline. I felt a responsibility to do it justice and portray it in a way that will hopefully help people,” she says.
