CHEAP & CHEERFUL
Don’t be deceived by price tags – some of the healthiest foods are the most affordable. Like Jess, look for fruit and vegies that are in season. They’re cheaper and fresher, too.
It might not seem cutting edge when it comes to superfoods but the humble orange boasts some impressive health benefits. Jess is definitely a big fan! The Honest Company founder has been known to load these into her trolley for her young family – Honor, 11, Haven, eight, and Hayes, two, her kids with hubby Cash Warren.
Oranges are a staple in most juices but they’re even healthier when eaten whole, which thankfully isn’t hard to do, given how tasty they are!
‘This delicious fruit helps maintain healthy skin, boost your immunity and when eaten whole, its fibre can help to lower your cholesterol,’ Jacqueline tells. Another plus? ‘As is the case with many citrus fruits, oranges have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, anti-microbial and anti-allergy compounds.’
