It’s the title track of her newly released album. But for Celine Dion, the word “courage” means so much more.
“It’s not only a song,” the Canadian icon, 51, has said. “It’s an emotion. It’s a language.”
To put it simply, since losing her beloved husband, René Angélil, in January 2016, courage has become a way of life for Celine. It is, as she says, what she needed to move forward in her life.
Now, nearly four years after René passed away from a heart attack following a lengthy battle with throat cancer, Celine has mustered that courage to record the album (with a coinciding 122-date world tour), making it her very first English-language album without the support of her husband, manager and co-parent. The couple had three children together: René-Charles, now 18, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 9.
