Keeping It Country Casual On Garden Visit the Duchess Of Cambridge Unveils A New Passion As Chelsea Dream Is Revealed

She has been at the heart of the British monarchy for almost eight years, but there are still some royal family secrets left for the Duchess of Cambridge to uncover.

Chief among those mysteries is whether or not the Queen eats pizza. Kate was posed the question by an eight-year-old girl called Nadirah on a visit to a community garden in Islington, North London and had to admit she did not know the answer.

“That’s such a good question, I don’t know,” the Duchess told children from St Jude and St Paul’s Primary School, with a smile.

“Maybe next time I see her, shall I ask?” On her first public engagement of the year, Kate joined the

youngsters in making pizza to cook in an outdoor oven at King Henry’s Walk Garden and chatted happily about Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

A boy called Patrick asked: “Here’s my ideal question: can I see your children?”

Kate replied: “They would love to come and do this with you. They will be very sad that I’ve been out here making pizzas with all of you and they haven’t been here. They are in school.”
