DESPITE being at the age when most people are close to retirement, aging pop divas Cher and Madonna are locked in a ferocious feud — one that first exploded 35 years ago!
The 74-year-old Baby Hold On songbird and 61-year-old Material Girl are furiously bad-mouthing each other whenever and wherever they can as each tries to take revenge, blab sources.
“Cher thinks Madonna’s vulgar and classless,” dishes an insider. “She still trash-talks her to anyone who’ll listen.
“She snickers to pals that Madonna as a performer is a joke” — and all washed up!
A few months ago, Madonna was forced to cancel shows on her Madame X tour because of an injury.
Says the source: “Cher just rolled her eyes and murmured that she should just retire already.”
