AKSHAY KUMAR

Heroic! That’s the only way to describe Akshay Kumar’s performance at the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020. Khiladi Kumar paid a tribute to all the unsung heroes of our country, our freedom fighters. It was a splash of saffron as Akshay descended on the stage in his Kesari look and kicked off his act with the rousing Teri mitti. He soon changed gear and got the audience grooving to chartbusters, Shaitaan ka sala from Housefull 4 and Laal ghagra and Sauda khara khara from Good Newwz. The hook step of Bala Bala Shaitaan ka sala, invited a massive cheering from the crowds.

MADHURI DIXITNENE

Madhuri Dixit-Nene is timeless. Just like the timeless numbers she enacted. The act started with Madhuri dancing to Lata Mangeshkar’s classic Pyaar kiya toh darna kya (Mughal-E-Azam). She went on to perform on Asha Bhosle’s In aankhon ki masti ke (Umrao Jaan), Alka Yagnik’s Choli ke peeche (Khalnayak), Kavita Krishnamurthy’s Maar dala (Devdas) and Shreya Ghoshal’s Ghar more pardesiya (Kalank). Needless to say, the actress sent the audiences in nostalgic ecstasy.
