Travelling with little passengers is no child’s play. It requires preparation and taking necessary precautions to ensure everyone is safe, even before putting the key in the ignition. But as tiring as this may be, it’s important that you take extra care with children. Follow these safety tips to ensure a safe and possibly fun drive, depending on how cranky your kids are.
1. SEATBELTS SAVE LIVES
One of the most basic car safety features are seatbelts, which have been effective in keeping motorists safe since they were invented in the early 1800s. All the occupants of a car must use them. If they don’t, they become projectiles in the event of an accident and can easily be ejected from the vehicle upon impact through the side, front or rear windows. Make sure your children are safely buckled up before you drive off.
