Keep Learning To Keep The Fires Inside You Burning

Learning is a life-long process. We start learning the day we open our eyes to this world, and keep learning till the day we die. Or so we should. Or at least this is what the wise men of yore recommend for us as the elixir for living a healthy and zestful life. Learning, per se, helps in keeping our mind, spirit, and soul active and functional at all times. It is something which inspires us to feel energetic and full of life. The mere thrill of knowing about something new instills a sense of fulfillment in a person.

Also, learning, as if by chance, also helps us in being able to interact with our younger lot. The young people and children these days are exposed to so much more – they have a lot of knowledge at their fingertips and their disposal. They are far more aware of technologies, medications, clothes, fashion, make-up, education et al as compared to what the older generations of moms and grandmoms was. Hence, to be able to talk to them in a manner in which we know what is going on these days is very challenging. If we are able to keep pace with the world today and know about what is going on where, it is possible to keep in touch with and freely be able to exchange views with youngsters. This, in itself, is usually a very exhilarating experience. It makes a person feel younger, more alive and kicking, and also one upon his or her peers who may not be so knowledgeable about the going-ons in this world.

…learning is a very satisfying activity
