A Sensitive Issue: Staff Perception Of Management
The Observer of Management Education|February 2017

The `top management’ sometimes sounds like a bunch of scary words. It is as though they are the warlords or the gods or even messiahs of their lower rung staffers. That they are the powers-that-be for all that happens in and around the place. So, are they so?

A Sensitive Issue: Staff Perception Of Management

Well, this depends on a case to case basis. It all depends upon the staff perception of management and all that it entails. How and what the staffers think of their bosses is the name of this game. What is important to note is that the days when the management ruled the roost and made even leaves quiver around them are long gone, in most corporate. Nowadays, there is a tendency to have fair play in most organizations. It is not as though the head honchos have appointed a set of blue-eyed boys whom they consult for everything and anything and leave the rest of the flock or neglect them in any which way.

Also, days of playing up to the bosses to have your say heard over every one else’s too seem to have been bid goodbye to. It is not like the boss has to be treated as a king in front of all else for him to favor you over the others in matter relating to good business. More and more, one hears of a democratic kind of set up in organizations where public vote really seems to matter. A chosen few are not really the sub lords of the whole unit. It is what is deemed correct for business to flourish, and this particular voice who says it, that is heard out aloud, over all else. Such is very heartening news indeed. Otherwise, there were all kinds of malaises which could and at times did seep into the systems of certain organizations.

Being fair and square in all dealings………..
